Book Review: This Earl of Mine by Kate Bateman

This has a lot of my favorite things in romance. It’s a marriage of convenience story which is one of my favorite tropes.

Overall, it was cute and a compelling story. It isn’t a new favorite, but I would be interested in reading more books by Kate Bateman.

I should probably be more detailed, but I don’t have much to say. The characters are interesting enough. Georgie is the 2nd skipping heiress I’ve read in the last couple of months. I liked her determination and passion for her father’s company. Benedict is nobility, but impoverished and the 2nd son. He works really hard and wants to help his brother restore their family estate. I would’ve liked more with his family especially since Georgie’s mom and sister show up a lot.

The romance was well-paced and fun to read. I liked the friendship of the guys and assume Benedict friends will be the focus of the next couple of books.

Thanks for reading!
