This was angsty-ier than I was expecting. That’s ok, but there was a lot of drama from just not communicating like adults which drives me crazy. And this was particularly frustrating. There were pages on pages of just talking around stuff. One of two times of that would be fine, but it happened constantly.
It is a reunited lovers story which I am a fan of. I also like rodeo/bull riding so it was interesting to read a story set in that world. And I’m a sucker for a cowboy and a ranch. I watch the show Heartland and kept thinking about that while reading.
The characters had compelling stories-especially Ty. But I felt like any character development was poor. Ty and Hannah make changes, but I didn’t really see the path to that growth. Instead it just…happened. Ty’s relationship with his brothers was probably the most interesting and well-done.
Also, I just read a book with an amnesia-story line so it was weird to read another one. But I think St. Martin’s emailed me about both of these books, so that sort of makes sense.
If the synopsis sounds interesting I would recommend giving it a try, but maybe pick it up form the library.
Thanks for reading!
